The Mill Adventure has strengthened its European footprint after successfully passing platform homologation in Portugal, confirming compliance with the country’s stringent Serviço de Regulação e Inspeção de Jogos (SRIJ) requirements.
Conducted in partnership with an operator licensee, the process included significant enhancements to the company’s existing compliance framework. These ranged from precise account status locks that mirror SRIJ-defined player states and enhanced self-exclusion functionality to IBAN ownership checks for robust AML protection.
Further integrations included SRIJ’s public identity database for player verification, a certified secure data vault, and the Cod Ficha system, which assigns unique identifiers to each bet or game round for full traceability.
Portugal joins an extensive list of regulated jurisdictions where The Mill Adventure is certified, including Malta, Germany, Ontario, the Netherlands, Austria, Sweden, and Estonia, alongside its local B2B partnership in Georgia.
Bjørnar Heggernes, Chief Commercial Officer at The Mill Adventure, commented:
“Passing platform homologation in Portugal demonstrates our unwavering focus on scalability, compliance, and performance. Our AI-driven tools, real-time data access, and automated management systems allow operators to confidently enter new markets and deliver secure, engaging experiences.”
