Latvian boxer and SEOBROTHERS ambassador Jevgenijs “The Hurricane” Aleksejevs has added another accolade to his undefeated career, claiming the IBF Europe Middleweight Title with a commanding victory over Poland’s Przemysław Zyśk at KOK 127 World Series, held on Saturday night at the Xiaomi Arena in Riga.
The win extends Aleksejevs’ perfect record and marks his second major continental belt, following his IBO European Middleweight Title triumph in September 2024.
Eugene Ravdin, Head of PR at SEOBROTHERS, praised the achievement:
“Congratulations to Jevgenijs and all the team behind him. This title took an awful lot of effort from an awful lot of people. We’re proud of Jevgenijs — winning the IBF Europe title confirms his place among Europe’s top middleweights.”
From the opening bell, Aleksejevs dictated the tempo, punishing Zyśk’s body with precision and maintaining control through sharp combinations. Despite the Polish fighter’s trademark toughness and attempts to slow the action with clinches, Aleksejevs remained composed, displaying technical variety and tactical discipline.
The Latvian standout mixed body and head attacks, landing uppercuts and keeping Zyśk at range. In the later rounds, as the challenger pushed for a knockout, Aleksejevs’ composure ensured a clean finish, earning a unanimous decision (100–89, 99–90, 98–91) on the judges’ scorecards.
Speaking after the fight, Aleksejevs revealed he had battled through illness in the lead-up to the bout:
“I got sick a day before the fight — I didn’t tell anyone, but I felt like I was run over by a truck. Still, to stand here now as European champion is incredible. Even though I wasn’t at my best physically, I stuck to the plan and it worked.”
Aleksejevs’ victory reinforces his status as one of Europe’s most promising middleweights and marks another proud moment for SEOBROTHERS, whose ambassador continues to showcase resilience, precision, and championship mentality on the continental stage.
