Sensor Tower’s State of Mobile 2026 Ranks Flashscore #1 Sports App Globally for MAU and MAU Growth

Flashscore has been named the world’s leading sports app for both Monthly Active Users (MAU) and MAU Growth, according to Sensor Tower’s State of Mobile 2026 report. The platform also ranked #5 globally for sports app downloads, reinforcing its position as a dominant “second screen” destination for real-time sports consumption.

The report highlights 2025 as a record-setting year for Flashscore, with the app surpassing 125 million monthly active users globally in October—exceeding its previous peak of 116 million MAU achieved during the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

Beyond global performance, Flashscore also recorded standout results in several major sports markets. In Brazil, the app ranked #1 for MAU and #1 for MAU Growth, alongside #2 for downloads, underlining its leadership in Latin America’s largest market. In France, Flashscore secured #1 positions in both MAU and MAU Growth, while in Italy, where it operates under the Diretta brand, it ranked #1 for MAU Growth and #3 for total MAU.

Martin Matejka, Marketing Director at Flashscore, said: “The State of Mobile 2026 report confirms what we see in our raw data: sports fans are increasingly demanding speed and depth over simple content. This dual achievement highlights a rare dominance in the mobile ecosystem: Flashscore is not only maintaining the largest global audience but is also acquiring new users faster than any competitor in the sector. For the betting and sports marketing industries, these numbers represent a massive, highly engaged audience that relies on Flashscore for instant data, making it a critical touchpoint for real-time sports consumption.”
