Motorway miles, murals and mullets as Midnite completes hat-trick of fan-led activations with Sheffield United

Midnite, the UK’s fastest-growing sportsbook and casino, has delivered a standout series of fan-first brand activations with Sheffield United, completing a hat-trick of initiatives designed to bring supporters closer to their club while reinforcing the bookmaker’s commitment to meaningful football partnerships.

As principal partner of Sheffield United and official training kit partner of Southampton FC for the 2025/26 season, Midnite continues to demonstrate how sponsorship can go beyond logos to create tangible value for fans and clubs alike.

The Midnite Express Returns

The centrepiece of the campaign saw Midnite revive The Midnite Express, offering free luxury coach travel for more than 100 Sheffield United supporters for the club’s midweek Championship fixture against Southampton.

Covering a 410-mile round trip to St Mary’s Stadium, the experience aimed to remove the cost and time barriers often associated with midweek away travel. Fans were joined on the journey by Sheffield United legends Michael Brown, Paddy Kenny and Rob Kozluk, with onboard quizzes, Q&A sessions and prize giveaways turning the trip into a fully hosted fan experience.

Andrew Mook, Head of Brand Marketing at Midnite, said:
“After seeing how popular The Midnite Express was earlier in the season, we were delighted to bring it back for Sheffield United supporters. Midweek away games can be expensive and demanding, so this was about giving fans something genuinely memorable while supporting them where it matters.”

Celebrating a Club Icon

Earlier in the week, Midnite unveiled a 50-square-metre mural honouring Sheffield United legend and current manager Chris Wilder. Installed on The Railway pub opposite Bramall Lane, the artwork celebrates Wilder’s enduring legacy at the club, from his playing days to leading the Blades back to the Premier League in 2019.

As part of the activation, Midnite donated £1,000 to The Railway pub to support improvements to its outdoor area, further enhancing the matchday experience for supporters heading into 2026.

A Fresh Start for Fans

Completing the trio of activations, Midnite transformed TaylorTaylor barbershop in Sheffield city centre into The Blades Salon, offering supporters free haircuts to kick off the new year.

Sheffield United players Callum O’Hare and Michael Cooper joined the event, even taking to the clippers themselves, creating a relaxed and memorable fan engagement moment after a challenging period for the club on the pitch.

Together, the activations underline Midnite’s strategy of building authentic, community-driven partnerships within football—using creativity, cultural relevance and fan insight to deliver measurable brand impact.
