Media Troopers Prepares for Alberta iGaming Market Entry with Segev LLP Partnership

Media Troopers is preparing to enter Alberta’s newly regulated iGaming market through a strategic partnership with Canadian gaming law firm Segev LLP.

The digital marketing and customer acquisition specialist will work closely with Segev LLP—led by Managing Partner Alon Segev and Founder Ron Segev—to navigate regulatory requirements, compliance strategy and market readiness as Alberta finalises its licensing framework.

Alberta is set to become Canada’s second regulated online gambling market following Ontario, after the province passed the iGaming Alberta Bill in 2025. The legislation establishes the Alberta iGaming Corporation, paving the way for licensed operators and suppliers to enter the market.

Through the partnership, Media Troopers aims to align its expansion strategy with the evolving regulatory landscape, ensuring it is fully prepared to support operators from launch.

The company plans to leverage its expertise in performance marketing, affiliate partnerships and compliance-led acquisition strategies to support licensed operators targeting the province.

Shmulik Segal, Chief Executive Officer at Media Troopers, said:
“Alberta represents one of the most exciting emerging regulated markets in North America. Working with Ron Segev and the team at Segev LLP ensures that our expansion will be aligned with the regulatory framework and positioned for long-term success.”

He added:
“Our goal is to be fully prepared to support operators entering Alberta from day one, as Canada’s iGaming market continues to evolve.”

The move highlights increasing competition among service providers ahead of Alberta’s market launch, as companies position themselves early to capture growth opportunities similar to those seen in Ontario.
