Experienced iGaming executive returns to strengthen Nordic leadership and support long-term growth in Finland ahead of regulatory change
Immense Group has appointed Joonas Karhu as Managing Director, Finland, reinforcing its strategic focus on regulated Nordic markets and long-term regional growth.
Based in Helsinki, Karhu will lead Immense Group’s strategic activities in Finland, overseeing partnership development, media engagement and local market positioning for the group’s casino and betting brands.
The appointment forms part of Immense Group’s broader commitment to strengthening local leadership across the Nordics, ensuring the business is well-positioned ahead of Finland’s forthcoming licensing framework. 
Over the past six months, Immense Group has continued consolidating its multi-brand structure while enhancing regional leadership and expanding the footprint of brands including DBET, Mr Vegas, Videoslots, Kungaslottet and Mega Riches across regulated European markets.
Karhu brings more than 15 years of iGaming experience spanning affiliate, operator and senior commercial roles. Most recently, he served as Head of Casino at North Star, where he led the casino division and oversaw the integration of Bojoko into the wider organisation.
He co-founded Bojoko in 2017, initially serving as Chief Business Officer before becoming Chief Executive Officer. During his tenure, he played a central role in shaping the company’s strategic development and expansion across regulated markets.
Karhu is also familiar with Immense Group’s structure and culture, having previously served as Country Manager for Finland between 2016 and 2017. His return provides operational continuity as the group deepens its Nordic presence.
In his new role, Karhu will lead preparations for Finland’s upcoming regulatory transition, supporting Immense Group’s long-term strategic planning and sustainable growth ambitions in the market.
