Fincore, a global technology partner specialising in clean, modular gaming platforms, has successfully delivered a modernised core system for The Pools, one of the UK’s oldest and most iconic gaming brands.
The project represents a significant milestone in The Pools’ digital transformation, replacing legacy infrastructure with a future-ready Pools Platform designed to deliver speed, regulatory compliance and scalable growth in a digital-first environment.
While The Pools’ heritage remains a key strength, outdated systems were hindering innovation, creating integration challenges and restricting long-term control over product development. The objective was to modernise the technology stack without compromising player trust or regulatory integrity. 
Working in close collaboration, Fincore designed and implemented a next-generation platform built clean from the core. The new Pools Platform unifies sportsbook, gaming, payments and compliance workflows within a modular architecture, enhancing the user experience while ensuring The Pools retains full ownership of the technology and control over its product roadmap.
The Pools successfully relaunched on the new platform on schedule and without disruption, marking a decisive move away from legacy systems and third-party dependencies. The modern architecture now enables faster product launches, improved player journeys and trust, and provides a scalable foundation to support future growth and regulatory evolution.
