Evoplay has expanded its football-inspired game portfolio with the launch of Penalty Shoot-Out: Cup Mania, a new title that evolves the studio’s popular Penalty Shoot-Out format.
Designed to replicate the tension and drama of football’s most decisive moments, Penalty Shoot-Out: Cup Mania places players in the centre of a packed stadium, where each kick tests timing, concentration, and composure. The release arrives as anticipation builds ahead of the 2026 World Cup, drawing on the tournament’s unifying spirit and global appeal.
Gameplay unfolds across successive rounds, with each successful penalty increasing the player’s multiplier, while a missed shot resets progress in the main game. This cumulative structure creates a balance between pressure and reward, encouraging players to decide whether to push on or secure their winnings at key moments.
The main game features an expanded set of 15 multipliers, while the Bonus round shifts the focus entirely to winning shots, allowing players to concentrate on maximising returns. During the bonus game, players can achieve potential wins of up to 3,000x the bet.
A Bonus Buy option is also available, granting instant access to a special round of 15 penalty shots for 30x the bet. In this mode, all kicks are played automatically, with each successful attempt contributing to the final payout.
Adding a personalised layer, the Country and Club Gallery allows players to select national flags, enabling them to represent their favourite team or home country as they step up for each penalty.
Commenting on the release, Ivan Kravchuk, CEO at Evoplay, said the new title enhances a familiar concept with greater intensity and strategic depth. He noted that the approaching World Cup influenced the game’s focus on decision-making and competition, creating an experience designed to resonate with football fans worldwide.
