ClickOut Media Raises £40,000 for Charity as Lead Sponsor of Target Sports Stars Fishing Championship

ClickOut Media has helped raise a record £40,000 for charity as the lead sponsor of the Target Sports Stars Fishing Championship, where its own Neil Roarty claimed a surprise individual victory.

Now in its third year supporting the event, the digital marketing agency joined forces with JBD Events to back the celebrity competition, which brought together leading figures from darts, boxing and sport, broadcast nationwide on ITV4.

The tournament saw ClickOut Media’s Neil Roarty reel in the day’s heaviest catch, defeating seasoned sports personalities including Luke Littler, Tony Bellew and Barry Hearn. He also secured the team trophy with Team JBD.

The £40,000 raised will support The Willow Foundation, Haven House and St Francis Hospice, each providing vital care and support services.

Neil Roarty said: “As a complete amateur angler, pulling off a win against world-class athletes was a huge surprise. But the real victory was raising awareness and funds for three incredible causes.”

Barry Hearn, President of Matchroom Sport, who presented Roarty with the trophy, said: “It’s fantastic to see businesses like ClickOut Media championing grassroots charity initiatives while getting directly involved in the competition itself.”

JBD Events Director added: “This year’s record fundraising total underlines how the Championship continues to grow thanks to committed partners like ClickOut Media.”

The event builds on ClickOut Media’s wider community engagement, which recently included a £5,000 donation to Tony Bellew’s Rotunda Amateur Boxing Club in Liverpool.
