Bede Gaming Secures AGLC Approval for Alberta iGaming Market Entry

Bede Gaming has received conditional approval from the Alberta Gaming, Liquor and Cannabis (AGLC) regulator, positioning the company to enter the province’s newly regulated iGaming market ahead of its official launch in 2026.

The data-driven platform provider has been deemed suitable to hold a one-year iGaming Goods or Services Supplier licence, making it one of the first international platform providers authorised to support operators targeting Alberta.

With regulatory clearance in place, Bede Gaming is now able to offer its platform and services to partners preparing to launch in the province, opening up new commercial opportunities as the market prepares to go live.

Bede’s technology stack includes a suite of in-house products alongside more than 150 third-party integrations, enabling operators to scale efficiently in newly regulated environments. The company is also SOC 2 certified, supporting secure and compliant market entry for its partners.

Alberta began accepting operator registrations in January 2026 and is widely expected to mirror the growth trajectory of Ontario’s regulated iGaming market, making it a key expansion target for international operators.

Colin Cole-Johnson, Chief Executive Officer at Bede Gaming, said:
“Bede is delighted to receive conditional regulatory approval to work in Alberta, putting us in a strong position to support operators with their upcoming expansions in the province. We look forward to the opportunities this new market presents.”
