Yaspa named among CB Insights’ 100 most promising fintech startups for 2025

Yaspa, the award-winning provider of iGaming payments and identity solutions, has been recognised by CB Insights as one of the 100 most promising fintech startups shaping the future of financial technology.

Now in its eighth year, CB Insights’ annual Fintech 100 list highlights the world’s most innovative and high-potential private companies transforming financial services across payments, identity, AI, and digital assets.

Yaspa’s Intelligent Payments solution integrates real-time open banking with AI-driven player intelligence, empowering iGaming operators to enhance lifetime value (LTV), reduce fraud, and promote responsible gambling.

The recognition follows a landmark year for Yaspa, marked by:

  • A $12m investment round led by Discerning Capital
  • The opening of a new technology hub in Leeds
  • The launch of a US entity in Atlanta
  • A refreshed brand identity to support accelerated global growth

Yaspa has also expanded its team to over 70 employees, welcoming Chris Lowe as CFO and Renuka Rawlins as Head of Public Policy and Affairs.

James Neville, Co-founder and CEO of Yaspa, commented:

“We’re honoured to be included in the Fintech 100 alongside such inspiring innovators. Since 2017, Yaspa has been exploring the intersection between identity and money — helping our partners make smarter, safer, and faster payment experiences. This recognition is a testament to the team’s hard work and the value our technology delivers.”

CB Insights selected the 100 winners using its Strategy Terminal, evaluating each company’s deal activity, partnerships, investor strength, and commercial maturity.

Laura Kennedy, Principal Analyst at CB Insights, said:

“This year’s Fintech 100 showcases companies turning AI, automation, and digital assets into the backbone of financial infrastructure. They’re building the systems that will shape the future of financial services.”
